DRAGONWITCH Release Day Blog Tour -- THE WINNER!

And what a glorious event these last three days have been! A huge thanks to all of the wonderful bloggers who participated, taking the time to create interviews, guest posts, and more, to format, to present, and to host on their various lovely blogs. It was such fun to work with all of them, and I hope all of you readers enjoyed the experience as well. What a great way to welcome Dragonwitch into the literary world!

Now, of course, what you've all been waiting for. The winner of the contest, and the first five Tales of Goldstone Wood novels is . . .

Annie Douglass Lima!

Congratulations, Annie! And thank you so much to all of you who participated. Remember, there are more chances to win the Tales of Goldstone Wood on the Prism Books Tour still running and the I Am a Reader, Not a Writer blog tour coming up at the end of the month.

I hope you will all find a chance to pick up and read Dragonwitch this summer. In the meanwhile, what are some of the summer reads you have enjoyed so far this year? I always love suggestions . . .

Congrats, Annie! And many thanks to Mrs. Stengl and all the tour hosts for doing this awesome book tour!

Three new books I've enjoyed this year are Cinder by Marissa Meyer, The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale, and The Summer of Cotton Candy by Debbie Viguie.

Yay! Congrats to Annie! These past days have been such fun:)

So far the books I've read and really enjoyed have included a re-read of Chalice by Robin McKinley, Mariah Mundi: the Midas Box by G. P. Taylor (an INCREDIBLE read right there) and now I'm in the middle of The Blue Hills by Elisabeth Goudge.

@Sarah: Cinder and the Goose Girl are WONDERFUL books! I haven't read The Summer of Cotton Candy, but it sounds very intriguing. Is it a fantasy?

Congratulations, Annie!! You must be so thrilled :p

Ahhhh Summer! I've been enjoying The Shifter by Janice Hardy, and I finished The Hunger Games trilogy a couple months ago...

Wow, Cinder sounds very interesting! My sister has been continuously kicking herself for never introducing The Goose Girl to me, although I've read Princess Academy and its sequel, which I loved!

Oh, Ms. Annie, congratulations to you. You will absolutely love the books, I'm sure.

This summer, the book that has stood out to me is Madman, by Tracy Groot. It's a fascinating and beautiful biblical fiction tale about the "Gerasene demoniac" in Mark Chapter 5. Ms. Groot tells the story with such warmth, and the characters are so endearing. Jesus' appearance is extremely brief, but that scene is truly unforgettable. I love The Goose Girl as well. Cinders sounds fantastic, and I'll definitely check it out. Have you read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, by Gregory Maguire? A dark but compelling retelling of Cinderella. God bless you all.

Enjoy Annie!

That was an awesome blog tour! I loved to see what everyone posted!

Now as for summer reads, I did read a historical fiction novel called 'Moccasin Trail' by Eloise Jarvis McGraw. I was sort of shocked by how much I loved it, and how well she crafted the story and the emotion. It was very inspiring and touching for such a short read.
